CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team will be back in action with just one match this weekend, traveling to Ball State on Saturday.

Entering the weekend the Vikings stand at 4-3 on the year after splitting their matches last weekend, including a 7-0 sweep over St. Bonaventure.
The St. Bonaventure win came at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion, a place where the Vikings are undefeated this season and own a 32-5 record over the last four seasons. So far this year, Cleveland State is 3-0 at home, with wins over Toledo, Edinboro and the Bonnies.
Earlier this week the Vikings were once again honored by the Horizon League, as
Carl Gedlitschka and
Lincoln Battle were named the #HLTennis Doubles Team of the Week. The duo earned a 6-0 win against St. Bonaventure, and have a team-best eight wins on the year.
Through the first three weeks of the spring season, the Vikings have been recognized each week, with Battle and Gedlitschka earning a pair of honors and Battle also earning Singles Player of the Week accolades.
Entering the weekend, Battle and Gedlitschka both have a team-best 5-2 singles record this spring, while they both also have double-digit singles wins on the year. In doubles,
Maxime Aremon and
Tristan Stine have a team-best three doubles wins this spring.
