CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team will close out its season-opening six-match roadswing this weekend, traveling to Marshall and Miami (OH) for a pair of contests.

Cleveland State heads into the weekend looking for its first win of the dual match season, as the Vikings have played a very competitive slate to begin the year, including a pair of Power 4 matchups against Cincinnati and West Virginia.
Last time out, the Vikings once again picked up the doubles point against Temple, including a 6-4 win from
Ella Franz and
Melliz Petkova Mustafa at the top of the lineup. With this win, Franz earned her 80
th career doubles win – ranking her second on the CSU Individual Doubles Wins List.
In addition, the Vikings also got points on a pair of singles wins from
Anna Mancino and
Jenna Redmile, both earning their first singles wins of the spring season.
Entering the weekend, Redmile and
Leah Geisz have a team-best seven singles wins on the year, while Franz, Mancino and Petkova Mustafa all have five wins.
Looking Ahead…
The Vikings will host their home opener on Friday, February 13, welcoming Toledo to the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion. This will be the first of nine home contests for Cleveland State this spring.
