Carl Gedlitschka has been named the Horizon League Singles Player of the Week. This marks the third weekly singles honor for the Vikings this spring.
Last time out, Gedlitschka and the Vikings went 3-1 in a pair of doubleheaders, picking up wins against Niagara, Mercyhurst and Findlay, improving to 8-6 on the year, and 6-1 when playing at the MMTP.
Gedlitschka went 3-0 at No. 2 singles on the week, picking up wins against UIC (5-7, 7-6(0), 1-0(9)), Niagara (6-0, 6-1) and Findlay (6-3, 6-2).
With the wins, Gedlitschka moved into a tie for sixth place on the CSU Singles Wins List, currently owning 82 career victories.
Gedlitschka now has a team-best 17 wins on the year, including nine this spring.
