CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued their current homestand Saturday morning, coming up short in a 5-2 decision against Western Michigan.
Despite dropping the doubles point,
Ella Franz and
Melliz Petkova Mustafa were able to pick up a 6-0 win at the top of the lineup. The win gave Franz 81 career doubles wins, tying her for the all-time individual doubles wins record at Cleveland State.
Franz also picked up a singles win for the Vikings, earning a 6-2, 1-6, 6-1 victory at the No. 2 spot.
In addition,
Leah Geisz notched a win at No. 6 singles, battling for a 2-6, 7-5, 7-5 win.
The Vikings will close out the weekend by hosting Bowling Green tomorrow at 10:00 a.m.
