CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team will continue the 2026 spring season on the road this weekend, traveling to Xavier and Dayton.

Match #10 | at Dayton | Saturday, February 14 | 4:00 p.m.
Entering the weekend the Vikings stand at 5-3 on the year, including a 4-3 victory over Ball State that they picked up last weekend. The Vikings have won two out of their last three matches, including their first 7-0 sweep of the year against St. Bonaventure.
Earlier this week
Lincoln Battle picked up Horizon League Singles Player of the Week honors, earning the recognition for the second time this season. Battle picked up a three-set win at the top of the lineup against Ball State, improving to a team-best 6-2 this spring.
For the year, Battle is one of three Vikings with double-digit singles wins, owning a team-best 13 wins along with
Carl Gedlitschka. In addition,
Devin Boyer recorded his 10
th win of the year last time out.
In doubles, Battle and Gedlitschka own a team-best 9-7 record on the year, while
Maxime Aremon and
Tristan Stine have posted a team-best 4-2 record this spring playing at No. 2 doubles.
Cleveland State will return to the MMTP – a place where they are undefeated this year – next weekend, hosting UIC and Mercyhurst on Thursday, February 19 and Niagara and Findlay on Sunday, February 22.
