CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State opened the first day of the Horizon League Fall Individual Championship on Friday evening.
Anna Mancino picked up the lone victory in the first round of singles with a 6-0, 6-2 win over Hanan Awale of IU-Indy. Mancino then fell to the seventh-seed Natalia Castaneda of Milwaukee, 7-5, 7-6.
The Green and White picked up two wins in doubles with

Anna McKnight (8-2) and
Anna Mancino/
Leah Geisz (8-6).
Those two doubles teams will continue their championship quest tomorrow at 1 p.m.
Five of the six singles players will compete in the back draws, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
