INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The 2026 Horizon League Preseason women's tennis poll came out Friday, with Cleveland State selected to finish fourth overall.
 
Cleveland State returns three letterwinners from last year's team, and welcomes four true freshmen to begin the spring campaign.
 
Included in the Viking returners is senior Ella Franz who became the program's all-time doubles wins leader with teammate Tereze Vevere last season. Additionally, Franz is also on track to become the program's individual doubles wins leader this spring.
 
The Vikings will open the 2026 spring season next weekend, traveling to Eastern Michigan on Saturday, January 17.
