CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State swept the Cleveland City Classic on Saturday against Baldwin Wallace and John Carroll.
The Green and White beat BW 202-39 and JCU 185-49.
Haley Palmer claimed multiple wins on the day: 50-yard freestyle (24.82) and 100-yard freestyle (54.46).
Gracie Chelf took home two wins on the afternoon: the 200-yard freestyle (1:55.77) and the 100-yard backstroke (58.40).
Cleveland State started the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay as
Audrey Butcher,
Ella Ciez, Palmer, and Gra. Chelf finished in 1:45.74.
The distance events were won by
Isabella Caraballo in the 1000-yard freestyle with a time of 10:39.73 and
Gretchen Chelf in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.43.
Butcher finished in 2:11.26 to win the 200-yard IM.
The 200-yard freestyle relay went to the Vikings as Gra. Chelf, Palmer, Butcher, and
Oksana Horova finished in 1:36.55.
The 100-yard breaststroke saw Horova put up a winning time of 1:08.64.
In diving,
Lorelai Maisano won the three-meter with a score of 291.85.
The day ended with
Rosie Whitten,
Alaina Brown, Gre. Chelf, and
Hannah Panko won the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:39.65.
Cleveland State completes the regular season on Friday, January 30, against Oakland with a 4 p.m. start.
