EVANSTON, Ill. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team wrapped up its weekend roadswing in the Chicago area Saturday, dropping a 5-2 contest at Northwestern.
Cleveland State's two points on the day came in singles play, as
Lincoln Battle and
Carl Gedlitschka both picked up wins.
Battle, who now has a team-best 4-1 singles record this spring, posted a 7-5, 6-2 win at the top of the singles lineup.
Gedlitschka earned his win at the No. 4 spot, posting a 6-3, 6-3 win to improve to 3-2 this spring.
Cleveland State will be back in action next weekend, hosting St. Bonaventure on Friday and traveling to Buffalo on Sunday.
