CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State swept the Cleveland City Classic on Saturday against Baldwin Wallace and John Carroll.
The Green and White beat BW 201-37 and JCU 163-72.
Landon Harman led the way with multiple wins on the day: the 200-yard freestyle (1:44.82) and 500-yard freestyle (4:46.79).
Cleveland State started the meet by winning the 200-yard medley relay as
Jaden Davillier,
Tyler Schultze,
Justin Schneider, and
Joe Parkhurst finished in 1:32.82.
Brock Wallace won the 1000-yard freestyle knockout competition with a time of 9:47.97.
Ahmad Abdalhak claimed the 200-yard IM after touching in 1:54.87.
Alex Cucu and Parkhurst tied for first place in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 21.48.
Seth Smith was victorious in the 100-yard butterfly after touching in 51.73, and Schneider claimed the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 50.47.
The 100-yard breaststroke went to
Gorkem Sulun with a time of 57.45.
Paxton Martinez won 3-meter diving with a score of 272.70.
The day ended with Hudgens,
Seth Smith,
Daniel Lyngaas, and
Jacopo Lanzo winning the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:08.49.
Cleveland State completes the regular season on Friday, January 30, against Oakland with a 4 p.m. start.
