INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team picked up its first weekly award following the opening week of the spring season, as the duo of
Lincoln Battle and
Carl Gedlitschka has been named the Horizon League Doubles Team of the Week.
To begin the spring season, Battle and Gedlitschka helped the Vikings to a 2-1 record, including wins over Toledo and Edinboro.
In doubles action, the duo went 1-1 on the week, including a 6-4 win at No. 1 doubles against Toledo to help clinch the doubles point.
Overall this year, Battle and Gedlitschka own seven doubles wins, leading all CSU doubles teams.
Battle, Gedlitschka and the Vikings will continue their spring slate this weekend, traveling to DePaul on Friday and Northwestern on Saturday.
