CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State started the second half of the season with a 175-103 victory over Niagara, improving the Green and White to 5-1 in dual races this year.
The Vikings had the lone divers sending four up to the 1-meter with
Lorelai Maisano leading the way with a score of 242.40.
The swim portion started with
Audrey Butcher,
Ella Ciez,
Haley Palmer, and
Gracie Chelf winning the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:44.85.
Chelf won the 50-yard freestyle (23.56) and 100-yard freestyle (52.28).
Butcher was victorious in the 100-yard butterfly (57.42) and 200-yard butterfly (2:09.21).
Isabella Caraballo won the first individual race of the day, the 1000-yard freestyle, with a time of 10:25.43.
Hannah Panko claimed the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 59.15.
The afternoon concluded with Chelf,
Rosie Whitten, Palmer, and
Oksana Horova winning the 400-yard freestyle with a time of 3:32.61.
The Vikings have a week off before hosting the Cleveland City Classic on Saturday, January 24, at 3 p.m. The meet will feature Baldwin Wallace and John Carroll.
