CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State started the second half of the season with a 190-85 victory over Niagara, improving the Green and White to 5-1 in dual races this year.
The Vikings had the lone divers sending two up to the 1-meter, with
Paxton Martinez winning with a score of 212.55.
The afternoon began with
Jaden Davillier,
Tyler Schultze,
Justin Schneider, and
Joe Parkhurst claiming the 200-yard medley relay with a time of 1:31.54.
The longest race of the day, the 1000-yard freestyle, went to
Brock Wallace with a time of 9:48.44.
Schultze claimed multiple events on the day; 100-yard breaststroke (55.91) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:03.81).
The 200-yard freestyle was won by
Noah Greer after finishing in 1:42.76.
Davillier took home the 100-yard backstroke after touching in 51.62.
Parkhurst sprinted to a time of 21.24 to win the 50-yard freestyle.
The 100-yard freestyle went to Gabriel Hudgens with a time of 46.18.
In the 500-yard freestyle,
Landon Harman clocked a 4:50.28 to take first place.
Schneider won the 100-yard butterfly after finishing in 51.35.
The day concluded with
Daniel Lyngaas, Hudgens, Parkhurst, and
Jacopo Lanzo winning the 400-yard freestyle relay with a time of 3:06.74.
The Vikings have a week off before hosting the Cleveland City Classic on Saturday, January 24 at 3 p.m. The meet will feature Baldwin Wallace and John Carroll.
