CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued Horizon League play Saturday, picking up a 7-0 victory over Chicago State. With the win, the Vikings are now 2-0 in #HLTennis play this season.
The Vikings got out to a 1-0 start after doubles, with
Oihane Vicario/
Sima Heren picking up a 6-2 win at the top of the lineup and
Ella Franz/
Tereze Vevere earning a win at the No. 2 spot.
Vicario and Heren were the only two to play complete singles matches then, Vicario earning a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and Heren posting a 6-1, 6-0 victory at the No. 2 spot.
The Vikings also got default/retire wins at the bottom four singles spots.
Cleveland State will close out the weekend tomorrow, hosting Milwaukee at 10:00 a.m. inside the MMTP.
