ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team closed out its 2025 spring campaign Sunday, falling to Belmont 4-3 in the championship match of the Horizon League Tournament.
The Vikings were making their 10
th championship match appearance over the last 13 complete seasons.
Cleveland State picked up the doubles point with matching 7-6 wins from
Cole Chappell and
Carl Gedlitschka at the No. 2 spot and
Maxime Aremon and
Nico Jamison at the No. 3 spot.
The two singles points on the day came from
Lincoln Battle at the top of the lineup and
Nico Jamison at the No. 4 spot.
Cole Chappell finished the year with a team-best 26 singles wins, tied for ninth on the CSU Single-Season Wins List.
Cleveland State finished the year with a 13-12 overall record.
