CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team opened its 2025 home slate Friday, dropping a hard fought 4-3 match against Dayton.
After dropping the doubles point, Cleveland State was able to even the match with a win at No. 5 singles, as
Maxime Aremon picked up a quick 6-2, 6-1 victory.
Dayton responded with a win at No. 6 singles, before
Lincoln Battle once again evened the score with a 6-3, 6-3 victory at the top of the lineup.
Although Dayton was able to then pick up wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles to clinch the match, Cleveland State's
Nico Jamison finished off the match with a 4-6, 6-0, 6-3 victory at the No. 4 spot.
The Vikings will be back in action on Friday, February 14, hosting Xavier at 6:00 p.m.
