CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued their busy week of matches Thursday, picking up a 4-3 victory against Mercyhurst.
With a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 2 singles,
Tereze Vevere became the all-time singles wins leader at Cleveland State, marking her 80
th career singles victory. After tying the record with a straight-set win against Slippery Rock yesterday, Vevere moved into sole possession of the top spot and became the first Viking all-time to reach 80 career singles wins.
In addition to Vevere,
Sima Heren (4-6, 6-1, 7-6(3)),
Jenna Redmile (6-4, 6-3) and
Filippa Frogner (6-3, 6-2) also picked up wins at the No. 1, No. 3 and No. 4 spots, respectively.
