Cleveland State Men's Swimming & Diving in Fifth After Day One of #HLSD Championships

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Vikings are fifth with 66 points after the opening day of the 2025 Horizon League Championships. IUI is first with 114 points, Oakland is second with 108 points, and Youngstown State is third with 80 points.

Cleveland State began the competition with a third-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay as Paddy Johnston, Tyler Schultze, Josh Merchbaker, and Joe Parkhurst finished in 1:27.98.

James Wolf placed third in 3-meter diving with a final score of 338.55 while Xander Johnson came in fifth after scoring 321.90.

The night ended with the 800-yard freestyle relay team disqualified after the second swimmer took off early.

The championships continue tomorrow with 1M diving on the women's side along with the 500 Free, 200 IM, 50 Free, and 200 Free Relay.
