KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Cleveland State women's tennis team closed out the weekend on the road Sunday, dropping a 5-2 contest at Western Michigan.
Playing with a shorthanded lineup once again, the Vikings picked up their two points from doubles and No. 1 singles.
Sima Heren earned a 6-3, 7-5 victory at the top of the lineup for Cleveland State, moving into a tie for fifth place on the CSU Singles Wins List with 74 career victories.
In doubles, the Vikings picked up matching 7-5 wins at the top two spots, with
Tereze Vevere and Heren playing at No. 1 doubles and
Filippa Frogner and
Jenna Redmile playing at No. 2 doubles.
Cleveland State will return to action with a trio of matches next week, beginning with a 3:00 p.m. contest against Slippery Rock on Wednesday, February 19.
