CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team opened the weekend with a Friday afternoon match, coming up short against Eastern Michigan, 4-3.
Playing with a shorthanded lineup, the Vikings were able to pick up their three points in singles from
Sima Heren,
Filippa Frogner and
Melliz Petkova Mustafa.
Heren picked up a three-set 7-5, 4-6, 1-0(7) victory at the top of the singles lineup, while Frogner battled for a 6-2, 2-6, 7-6(1) win at No. 5 singles and Petkova Mustafa posted a 6-4, 7-5 win at the No. 6 spot.
Cleveland State will continue the spring season on Sunday, February 16, traveling to Western Michigan for an 11:00 a.m. contest.
