CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Vikings improved to 4-1 in dual meets this season after beating Youngstown State 188-112 on Saturday afternoon.
Cleveland State opened the swimming portion, winning the 200-yard medley as
Audrey Butcher,
Ella Ciez,
Rosie Whitten, and
Gracie Chelf finished in 1:44.43.
Chelf claimed the 50-yard freestyle (23.30) and 100-yard freestyle (51.13).
Butcher won the 100-yard backstroke (58.13) and 100-yard butterfly (57.25).
The 1000-yard freestyle was won by
Isabella Caraballo with a time of 10:24.33.
Ciez was victorious in the 100-yard breaststroke after touching in 1:06.48.
The Vikings took home the top three spots in the 200-yard backstroke with
Hannah Panko (2:06.38),
Riley Ogilvie (2:07.56), and Brown (2:11.40).
Cleveland State capped off the meet by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay as Chelf,
Oksana Horova, Palmer, and Whitten finished in 3:31.53.
Ellie Seiter won both diving events: 1-meter (239.78) and 3-meter (274.35).
Cleveland State will conclude the first half of its season with the annual three-day Magnus Cup, which runs from Thursday, Nov. 20, through Saturday, Nov. 22.
