CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State moved to 4-1 in dual competitions after beating Youngstown State 183-117 on Saturday afternoon.
The Vikings started the swimming portion with a win by the 200-yard medley relay as
Jaden Davillier,
Alex Cucu,
Justin Schneider, and
Joe Parkhurst put up a time of 1:30.68.
Tyler Schultze won the 100-yard breaststroke (56.27) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:05.11).
The first individual swim, the 1000-yard freestyle, went to
Brock Wallace after clocking a 9:42.46.
Aidan Rush sprinted to a time of 21.68 to win the 50-yard freestyle.
In the 100-yard freestyle,
Daniel Lyngaas swam a 45.80 to win the event, while
Gabe Hudgens was the runner-up with a 46.46.
Davillier claimed the top spot in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 4:45.16.
The final individual race, the 200-yard IM went to
Ahmad Abdalhak with a time of 1:53.02.
Xander Austin won both diving events; 1-meter (339.00) and 3-meter (324.60).
Cleveland State capped off the win by taking home the 400-yard freestyle relay as Lyngaas,
Jacopo Lanzo, Hudgens, and
Joe Parkhurst finished in 3:02.24.
Cleveland State will conclude the first half of its season with the annual three-day Magnus Cup, which runs from Thursday, Nov. 20, through Saturday, Nov. 22.
