Cleveland State Women's Swimming & Diving Finishes Sixth at Magnus Cup

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Vikings wrapped up the three-day midseason meet with a sixth-place finish at Magnus Cup on Saturday evening.
 
Akron came in first place with 1,523.5 points, Northern Colorado came in second with 1,285 points, and Bowling Green came in third with 1,128.5 points. The Vikings had 700.5 points in sixth.
 
The final evening began with a runner-up finish by Isabella Caraballo in the 1650-yard freestyle with a time of 17:02.27.
 
Skyler Turner took ninth in the 100-yard IM (55.55) and tenth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:23.62).
 
The 50-yard butterfly saw Haley Palmer take seventh, clocking a 25.20.
 
Gracie Chelf placed fourth in the 100-yard freestyle after touching in 50.33.
 
Cleveland State wrapped up the meet with a fifth-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle as Chelf, Oksana Horova, Rosie Whitten, and Palmer finished in 3:26.23.
 
The Vikings will now take a long break and not return to the pool until Saturday, January 10, at 2 p.m. against Niagara.
