WINSTON SALEM, NC – The Cleveland State men's tennis team opened play at the Wake Forest Invite Friday, posting a successful day in both singles and doubles brackets.

Four Vikings picked up wins in their opening round singles matches, including the trio of Cole Chappell, Carl Gedlitschka and Tristan Stine who all picked up straight-set wins. In addition, Maxime Aremon pulled out a three-set victory in his first singles match.

Cleveland State also picked up five doubles wins on the day, with the duo of Chappell and Andrew Zimcosky going 2-0 on the day. In addition, Lincoln Battle/Gedlitschka, Devin Boyer/Aremon and Tristan Stine/Nico Jamison also picked up doubles wins.

Play at the Wake Forest Invite will continue tomorrow with singles and doubles matches.
