CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State men's tennis team will continue its fall slate this weekend, participating in the second annual Horizon League Individual Championship. This year's event will be hosted by Belmont and run Friday, October 3 through Sunday, October 5.
This weekend's event will feature a 32-player Singles Draw and a 16-team Doubles Draw, with the winner from both brackets earning an entry into the ITA Conference Masters Championship, which will be hosted November 6-9 in San Diego, California.
Friday and Saturday will include two rounds of singles and one round of doubles, while Sunday's action will feature the singles final along with the doubles semifinals and final.
Cleveland State will be one of six Horizon League teams competing, joining Belmont, Tennessee State, Southern Indiana, Youngstown State, IU Indy.
The Vikings will be represented by
Lincoln Battle,
Carl Gedlitschka,
Nico Jamison, and
Cole Chappell in the singles draw, while the teams of Battle/Gedlitschka and Jamison/Chappell will compete in the doubles draw.
