TOLEDO, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's tennis team returned to the courts Friday, dropping a 6-1 contest at Toledo.
Cleveland State's lone point on the day came from doubles, as the Vikings picked up wins at the top two spots to clinch the early point.
The No. 1 team of
Oihane Vicario and
Sima Heren earned a 6-2 win, while
Tereze Vevere and
Ella Franz picked up a 6-3 win at the No. 2 spot.
In singles, Vicario, Heren and
Filippa Frogner all pushed their matches to three sets before coming up short.
The Vikings will return to action with a trio of matches next week, beginning with a home match against Slippery Rock on Wednesday, February 5.
