SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The Cleveland State men's tennis team closed out its season-opening four-game roadswing Sunday, dropping a 6-1 contest at Notre Dame.
Carl Gedlitschka picked up Cleveland State's lone point of the day, earning a 5-7, 6-4, 1-0(8) victory at No. 3 singles. This mark Gedlitschka's second singles win of the spring campaign.
"We had the toughest part of our schedule at the beginning of the season, and I can feel us getting better because of that. Hats off to Carl who put a point on the board for us today, and I see gains by many of our players and we are ready to finally play some matches at home next!" head coach Brian Etkzin said.
The Vikings will have a week off from competition, returning to the courts on Friday, February 7 when they host Dayton in their home opener.
