CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Vikings remain in fourth place with one day remaining at the 2024 Magnus Cup. Akron sits atop the leaderboard with 998 points, Tulane is second with 745 points, Xavier is third with 407.5 points, and the Vikings in fourth with 358 points.
The Vikings finished ninth and tenth in 1M diving with
Lorelai Maisano (228.65) and
Ellie Seiter (223.70).
Cleveland State started the night with a seventh-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay as
Eva Smith,
Ella Ciez,
Giovanna Cappabianca, and
Grace Chelf clocked a 1:43.02.
In the 400-yard IM, Cappabianca put up the second-fastest time in program history, 4:22.72, placing her fifth in the event.
The Green and White placed ninth and tenth in the 100-yard breaststroke with Cappabianca (1:04.53) and
Kellsie Krisch (1:04.79).
Smith won the B-final of the 100-yard backstroke after touching in 55.55 and Gra. Chelf was 14th with a time of 56.44.
Audrey Butcher was a spot back with a time of 56.45.
CSU ended the night with a ninth-place finish in the 800-yard freestyle as
Ana Sofia Sousa,
Kayla Brock,
Isabella Caraballo, and Cappabianca clocked a 7:40.17.
