YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Cleveland State improved to 3-0 in dual meets this season after knocking off Youngstown State 161-139 on Saturday afternoon.
Jackson Nester won all three of his individual races for a second time this season taking home the 1000-yard freestyle (9:37.58), 200-yard backstroke (1:52.92), and 400-yard IM (4:00.10).
Paddy Johnston was victorious in the 50-yard freestyle (20.79) and 100-yard butterfly (49.24).
In the 200-yard freestyle,
Connor Green was victorious after touching in 1:42.65.
Dogukan Tombul won the 100-yard backstroke after finishing in 51.50 and
Brock Wallace was second with a time of 52.58.
In diving,
James Wolf won both events with NCAA Zone Cuts. The sophomore scored 321.23 on 3M and 308.18 on 1M.
The Vikings got second-place finishes from
Aidan Florio in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:07.17),
Tyler Schultze in the 100-yard breaststroke (57.12), and
Nate Steiner in the 200-yard butterfly (1:58.97).
Cleveland State capped off the day by winning the 400-yard freestyle relay as Tombul, Johnston,
Daniel Lyngaas, and Green finished in 3:03.80.
The Green and White will now rest up for the annual three-day Magnus Cup from Nov. 21-23 inside Busbey. Tickets for the event can be purchased
