CLEVELAND, Ohio – Cleveland State women's tennis head coach Frank Polito has announced the addition of Laura Tapia (Los Realejos, Spain), Marta Rodriguez (Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain) and Leah Geisz (Clarkston, Mich.) for the 2025-26 season.

All three will join the Vikings in the fall of 2025 with four years of eligibility remaining.

Tapia will join the Vikings following a standout junior career in which she had a top-115 Women's Spanish ranking and a top-35 Junior Spanish ranking. In 2023, Tapia finished as the runner-up at the Canary Islands' Regional Championship.

Geisz will join the Vikings following a prep career at Clarkston High School, where she has amassed 54 singles wins through three seasons. Last year, she was a regional finalist and state semifinalist, and has been a three-time First Team All-State honoree and two-time USA Today High School Sports Tennis Player of the Year nominee. As a team, Clarkston went 14-0 last year, capturing the Michigan State Championship.

Academically, Tapia plans to study psychology, while Rodriguez plans to pursue a degree in the engineering field, and Geisz will study finance.
