CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Cleveland State women (1-2) fell to Eastern Michigan (1-0) in the annual Pink Meet on Friday afternoon.
The Green and White were and are accepting donations for First Descendant, which provides outdoor adventure trips for young people with cancer or other serious health conditions.
Brooke Eichel won 1M with an NCAA Zone Cut of 270.08 and finished second in 3M with a score of 240.68.
Lorelai Maisano was the runner-up in 1M with a score of 251.25 and placed third in 3M after scoring 238.88.
The Vikings went first and second in the 1000-yard freestyle with
Isabella Caraballo (10:39.21) and
Olivia Leonard (10:45.67).
The 50-yard freestyle went to
Grace Chelf with a finishing time of 23.82. She would later place second in the 100-yard freestyle after touching in 52.70.
Hannah Panko claimed second place in the 200-yard backstroke after clocking a 2:07.79 and Caraballo was the runner-up in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:14.23.
The winner of the 200-yard IM was
Giovanna Cappabianca with a time of 2:07.01.
Cleveland State will head to Youngstown State on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 11 a.m. for its first competition against a league opposition.
