Cleveland State Women's Tennis Drops 6-1 Match At Ball State

MUNCIE, Ind.  – The Cleveland State women's tennis team continued its weekend roadswing at Ball State Saturday afternoon, dropping a 6-1 match against the Cardinals.

Saturday's match was played outdoors, marking the first outdoor contest of the spring season for the Vikings.

Despite dropping the early doubles point Cleveland State's top team of Klara Mrcela and Sima Heren was able to pick up a 7-5 win at No. 1 doubles, improving to 7-4 this spring.

Cleveland State's lone singles win against Ball State came from Oihane Vicario at the top of the lineup, as she notched a 2-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Emma Peeler. With the win, Vicario improved to 9-5 this spring and 15-10 overall this season.

The Vikings will now have a few days off from competition, returning to the courts on Wednesday, March 16 when they travel to FGCU.
