Men's Swimming Takes First at CSU Magnus Cup

CLEVELAND, Ohio- The Cleveland State men's swimming and diving team competed in the Third Annual Magnus Cup on the third and final day at Busbey Natatorium.  Cleveland State tallied 1616 points, which was good enough for first place and the trophy.

In the finals for the men, Philipp Sikatzki placed first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 1:48.38. In the 100 freestyle, Adam Ingledew placed first with a time of 45.73.

The men finished off the day by placing second in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:03.81.

"We came into the week hoping to learn a lot about our training and where we are at at this time. It gave us a great indication of where we are as a team. Very pleased with everything that we learned. Excited about moving forward." said Head Coach Paul Graham.

The Vikings will be back in the pool December 2, where they host Canisius in the City Dual Meet Invitational. Events will begin at 3:00 p.m at the Busbey Natatorium.
