Cleveland, Ohio - Last year, head coach Wally Morton called a win over Green Bay one of the biggest in the history of the women's program, showing how much respect he has for the Phoenix program. With good reason, as Green Bay has become the gold standard as a perennial power in the Horizon League.

Saturday's 137-106 win over Green Bay shows that the Vikings are a force to be reckoned with themselves.

The women won every event except the 200 backstroke and 200 breaststroke - and most of them in convincing fashion.

Carys Behn, Alice Sommerville and Joanna Olsson led the charge.

Behn showed her prowess in the freestyle events, taking three titles. She won the 200 free (1:54.53) by a full second and the 500 free (5:10.19) as an individual. She then swam the final leg of the 400 free relay (3:34.75) with a team-best 52.12 split.

Sommerville won the 50 free (23.99) and 100 free (52.08) - a time that was 2.48 seconds better than the next closest competitor. She then teamed with Alex Johansson, Allison Pallija and Christine Kopacko to win the 400 medley relay (3:56.57).

Olsson won the 1,000 free (10:37.15), 200 IM (2:07.18) and 200 fly (2:07.29) to pickup 27 points for the team.

Kacey Cummings, the Horizon League's `Diver of the Week', swept the diving events by winning the 1-meter (255.37) and 3-meter (279.45) to make her a very viable candidate to repeat the weekly award.

In the two swimming events the Vikings didn't win, they still managed to rack up some points.

Alex Johannson touched in 2:09.87 in the 200 back, just .47 behind Green Bay's Amber Bartholomew, and Allison Pallija placed third in the (2:31.13) in the 200 breast.

After two consecutive dual meet victories, the Vikings are off from competition this upcoming week. They'll be back in action on November 4th when they travel to Columbus to take on Ohio State, Denison and Virginia Tech.
