CHICAGO, Ill. - Senior Bjorn Schantz won the 200, 500 and 1,000 free and sophomore Marko Milenkovic set a top time in the 50 free as CSU finished the regular season with a 140-103 win Saturday at UIC. CSU finishes the regular season 11-3.
Schantz, who owns two league top times, won the 1,000 free (9:37.99) and 200 free (1:43.08) in consecutive events as Cleveland State jumped out to a large advantage. Schantz then completed the sweep with a time of 4:41.76 in the 500 free.
Milenkovic posted a 21.18 en route to a second place swim in the 50 free, falling to the league's top sprint swimmer Blake Booher (20.38).
CSU started the meet by winning the 200 medley relay in 1:33.66 and after Schantz and Milenkovic did their damage, sophomore Nedim Nisic won the 100 fly (51.02). Freshman Jakub Dobies continued his dominance in the 100 breast, winning in 56.88, followed by sophomore Stef Potgieter (58.01) and junior Dave Duecker (59.82).
Duecker also finished second in the 200 IM (1:57.35) and 500 free (4:46.75).

The win not only ended the season on a winning note, but gave Cleveland State the chance to compete in UIC's pool, which will be the site of the league championship meet later this month.
"We met all of our objectives by going to Chicago," head coach Wally Morton said. "We got used to UIC's pool, adapted to it and was able to be competitive.
"We are looking forward to the championships."
The Horizon League championships is set for Feb. 21-24 at UIC's Flames Natatorium.
