CLEVELAND, Ohio - Senior Marianne Lionell and sophomore Kristine Bunker each posted new team top times as the Vikings fell to Wright State, 183-54, and Youngstown State, 157-74, in a triple dual on Saturday (Nov. 11) at the Busbey Natatorium. The Vikings are now 3-6 and 0-3 in Horizon League action.

Lionell, swimming in the 50 free for the first time this season, posted a :25.18 en route to a first place finish, besting the team's previous top mark by 0.35 seconds. Kristine Bunker's swim of 5:27.91 in the 500 free was far and away the team's best time, eclipsing the old mark by nearly five seconds.

Lionell's day also included a second place finish in the 200 breast (2:32.88).

"We switched some things up and got some people some new swims," head coach Mike Lehto said. "I was happy that Marianne won the 50 free, but there are some things she can improve on, which is a good sign.

"Kristine has been swimming very well this season," Lehto said. "If you look at her times this season, she's been doing much better this season than last."

Sophomore Katie Bellew continued her solid season in the butterfly, placing second in the 200 fly (2:14.86) while freshman Eileen Bringman raced to a season-best 2:20.02 in a third place swim in the 200 back.

"I was happy with the way Eileen swam," Lehto said. "She had some of her best times in the 50 free and the 200 back. She's getting more comfortable."

The Raiders dominated throughout, winning 10 of the day's 13 events. Wright State won its dual against Youngstown State, 163-80.

The Vikings are back in action at the three-day Miami (OH) Invitational, which starts on Nov. 30 and runs to Dec. 2.
