CLEVELAND, Ohio - Cleveland State concluded its regular season slate Sunday with a 4-3loss to Detroit at the Malaga Tennis Center. The Vikings finish the regular season 13-11 and 4-3 in Horizon League play and will be seeded fourth in next weekend's league tournament.

Senior Sarah Galon highlighted the day with a 6-4, 6-2 win over defending league player of the year Annie Moore at No. 1 singles. It was a fitting result for her final home match at CSU, defeating Moore for the first time in xxx tries.

"Moore had gotten the best of her before and Sarah winning that match is great," head coach Brian Etzkin said. "She showed a lot of mental toughness."

Junior Jenn Myers finished her season undefeated in league play with a 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles and freshman Charlotte Gibbons added a three-set win over Svetlana Flankova at No. 2 singles.

The Titans, who also finished the season 4-3 in league play, took two of three in doubles play.

The Vikings will begin play at the Horizon League Championship on Saturday, April 28 in Indianapolis, Ind. CSU will face the tournament's fifth-seeded team, either UW-Milwaukee or UW-Green Bay.
