    LAWRENCE, Kan. - The Cleveland State volleyball team's season came to an end Friday evening, falling to No. 20 Kansas, 3-1 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. CSU's 25-17 win during the opening set marked the first set win in NCAA Tournament play for the Vikings. Friday's loss to the Jayhawks snapped CSU's 13-match win streak, as the Vikings end the season with a record of 23-7 - the fourth straight year that the Vikings have posted at least 20 wins. The Jayhawks improved to 26-6 on the year and will now play Wichita State in a second round contest Saturday evening.

    LAWRENCE, Kan.- The Cleveland State volleyball team landed in Lawrence, Kan. Thursday (Nov. 29) morning in preparation for the 2012 NCAA Tournament. The Vikings, along with Kansas, Arkansas and Wichita State held open practices Thursday afternoon in Allen Field House with opportunities for fans and media to come watch the teams prepare for the upcoming matches.
  • Volleyball Heads To Kansas For NCAA First Round Contest

    QUICK SETS Cleveland State (23-6) will head to Lawrence, Kan. to begin NCAA Tournament play this week, facing 11th-seeded Kansas in a first round contest on Friday (Nov. 30) at 7:30 p.m. EST. The Vikings will be making their second appearance in the NCAA Tournament (2007) after claiming the 2012 Horizon League Tournament Championship. Along with CSU and Kansas, Arkansas and Wichita State are also in the Lawrence sub-regional. The winners of Friday's matches will go on to face each other in a second round contest on Saturday (Dec. 1) at 7:30 p.m. EST.

    CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Cleveland State volleyball program has added four players to the lineup for the 2013 season, as Taylor Angel (Notre Dame Academy/Union, Ky.), Grace Kauth (Chaminade Julienne Catholic/Vandalia, Ohio), Sydney Mast (Central Christian/Millersburg, Ohio) and Aaliyah Slappy (Centennial/Columbus, Ohio) have signed National Letters of Intent to attend Cleveland State beginning next fall.

The Vikings will first host Wright State at 7:00 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 2), before hosting Valparaiso at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 3). Saturday's contest against the Crusaders will serve as senior day, as the Vikings honor the graduating class of 2012.
