OXFORD, Ohio - Cleveland State got underway at the Miami Invitational in the first day of the three day event. Freshmen Erin Green and Frances Carrion were the day's top performers as each managed a personal best in the mile swim, posting times of 18:07.88 and 18:35.63 respectively.
"We were pleased with the performances we got from Frances and Erin," head coach Wally Morton said. "I thought that coming on a long bus trip we got off to a good start," he continued.
The Vikings will rest up and look forward to Day 2 of the Miami Invite, to be contested tomorrow at Miami's Gross Center.
