Vikings Drop Home Finale to Green Bay, 2-1

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Cleveland State women's soccer team fell to Green Bay, 2-1, on Senior Day on Saturday afternoon at Krenzler Field.

• CSU took a 1-0 lead on Toni Dickson's goal with just seven seconds left in the first half. Katie Bainbridge sent a cross into the box that Dickson was able to head into the net just before the half ended.
• Green Bay tied the match at 1-1 at the 63:43 mark on a goal from Alex Zeller and just four minutes later, Nicole Piette netted what proved to be the game-winner.


• Jamie Daniels made three saves in goal for the Vikings.


• CSU has a 12-9 advantage in shots, while Green Bay had five shots on goal to four for the Vikings.
• The Vikings had four shots hit the post in the first half.
• CSU's six seniors - Megan Barrick, Sarah Kaiser, Jane Piontowski, Kaila Sargema, Marissa Sarsfield and Haleigh Shingary - were honored prior to the game. The group was playing for the final time at Krenzler Field.
• Daniels, Sarsfield, McKenna Vento, Emily Edgell and Barrick each played the full 90 minutes.


• CSU concludes the regular season on Friday (Oct. 28) when the Vikings travel to Milwaukee for an 8:00 pm ET contest.
