CHARLESTON, W. Va. - Cleveland State senior Patrick Luth shot a final round one-under-par 69 and finished as the runner-up at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational that concluded on Tuesday at the par-70, 6,345-yard Berry Hills CC.
CSU shot a 285 today and tied for eighth place with a 54 hole total of 866 (281-300-285).
Luth, who opened the tournament with a career-low 65 on Monday morning, birdied the par-5 ninth hole today - his final hole of the tournament - to post his second round under par in the event. He also carded an even-par 70 in the second round yesterday, finishing the 54-hole event at six-under-par 204.
Eastern Kentucky's Erik Lindwall earned medalist honors by one shot over Luth, shooting 69-63-71 (203).
The Vikings will be right back on the course this weekend when CSU competes in the EKU Intercollegiate Sponsored by Raisin Cane's on Saturday and Sunday (Sept. 17-18) in Richmond, Ky.
